2-star chef Marc Rennhack
We are very pleased to introduce our two-star chef Marc Rennhack as the head chef of our gourmet restaurant Sterneck.
Mr Rennhack's career has taken him from eminent institutions such as the Fährhaus hotel and restaurant in Munkmarsch on the island of Sylt, where he was taught by Juan Amador. He continued to work with him in Carême at the Castle Hotel Weyberhöfe in Sailauf. Mr Rennhack went on to other prestigious addresses, such as the Maintower restaurant in Frankfurt am Main and the Amador restaurant in Langen, before becoming head chef at L'orchidee in Bremen and later Olivo in Stuttgart. His previous tenure as head chef was at Heritage in Bucharest, which was named the best restaurant in Romania and was a Juan Amador project.
We are looking forward to working in harmony with Mr Rennhack and are convinced that we have found in him a versatile and highly creative team member. Our loyal Sterneck kitchen and service staff will contribute to this successful partnership.

Stars shining again for the "Sterneck"
It's official: Our new head chef Marc Rennhack managed to win two Michelin stars for our gourmet restaurant Sterneck.
The renowned Michelin Guide immediately awarded Mr Rennhack two stars. "Nothing like this has ever happened before," said his predecessor Markus Kebschull, sending congratulations from the Seesteg hotel and restaurant on the island of Norderney. Mr Kebschull was also awarded a star. Well done!

August 2012: "The German gourmet" magazine "Der Feinschmecker" already passed judgement in its August 2012 edition and wrote: "The newcomer is doing the gourmet restaurant with a view of the Wadden Sea a world of good" – and gave Mr Rennhack's creations an "FFF" rating. The review continued, "Marc Rennhack... cooks his modern classic cuisine both refreshingly and aromatically. He uses spices with more gusto than his predecessor, always insists on good products and masters both Spanish and oriental elements."
